Dear MPS Members,
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on psychologists and their practices over the past several months. In an effort to provide additional supports to Manitoba psychologists, MPS is planning on hosting two virtual townhalls, one for those working with adults and couples and another for those working with children, adolescents, and families. We hope these will provide opportunities to discuss key issues identified by our members as relevant to their practice during the current pandemic. The townhalls will be free to members but, for planning purposes, we are asking attendees to register in advance and provide input regarding key issues/topics to be included in the townhalls. Examples of potential topics include: strategies for minimizing risk during in-person assessments, strategies for minimizing risk during in-person psychotherapy, tips for successful virtual therapy sessions, incorporating virtual sessions into the assessment process, members’ experience with virtual platforms, tips for working from home, and strategies for maintaining our own wellness during the pandemic.
Sessions (you may register for one or both):
Tuesday December 15
12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
